The vow

a charter in seven articles

  1. I

    No animal testing. Anywhere.

    We never test our products or our ingredients on animals, and we never ask anyone else to do it for us — at any stage, from raw material to the finished lipstick.

  2. II

    Suppliers sign it too.

    Every supplier signs a declaration each year confirming that nothing they sell us has been tested on animals. No signature, no business.

  3. III

    We don’t sell where it’s required.

    If a country’s law requires animal testing to sell makeup there, we simply don’t sell there. Pretty isn’t worth that.

  4. IV

    Every formula is vegan.

    No beeswax, carmine, lanolin, honey, silk, shellac, guanine or squalene from sharks. Plants and minerals only.

  5. V

    Synthetic lashes and brushes.

    Our lashes are never mink, silk or feathers, and our brushes are made of soft synthetic fibres. Soft as a feather, made of none.

  6. VI

    The feathers are only pictures.

    Every wing and feather on this website is an illustration or a photo prop. Angels shed; nobody plucks.

  7. VII

    Leather-free, always.

    No leather, suede or animal glue in our packaging, pouches or bows. Our satin is plant-based viscose.

How we keep it

    We choose kind ingredients

    Every raw material is checked against our list of animal-derived ingredients before it reaches the lab.

  2. 02

    Suppliers sign every year

    A fresh declaration, every year, for every ingredient: never tested on animals, never animal-derived.

    We test on humans who say yes

    Safety and wear tests are done with in-vitro methods and consenting human volunteers — who get to keep the gloss.

    We say no to some markets

    Where the law requires animal testing, Angeology isn’t sold. We’d rather be small and kind.

Are the feathers on your website real?

Never. Every feather and wing is an illustration or a photo prop made from synthetic fibres. No bird was involved — not even a pigeon who wandered onto set.

Is cruelty free the same as vegan?

Not quite: cruelty free means nothing was tested on animals; vegan means nothing comes from animals. Angeology is both, every product, every shade.

What are your lashes made of?

Soft synthetic fibres, shaped by hand to look fluttery. Never mink, never silk, never feathers — and reusable up to 20 wears.

Are your brushes vegan?

Yes. Our Wing Brush uses synthetic bristles that are softer than animal hair and easier to clean.

Do you sell anywhere animal testing is required?

No. If a market requires animal testing for cosmetics, we don’t sell there.

What makes your pinks pink, without carmine?

Iron oxides, plant pigments like beetroot and safe synthetic colours. Just as rosy, no insects crushed.
