Our story

a diary, kept since the very first gloss

dear diary,

today I refused to put beeswax in my lip gloss.

tomorrow I’ll refuse to test it on anything that can’t say yes.

one day, a whole makeup house will refuse with me.

  1. The first gloss

A saucepan, a sunflower wax and a lot of pink. The very first Halo Gloss was stirred on a kitchen table — beeswax was never on the list.

  2. The vow

Written on a café napkin: never tested on animals, never made from them. It still lives, framed, above the studio door.

    read the vow
  3. The name

Angeology — the study of angels. Because every girl deserves a halo and a sharp wing. Our very first muse tried the name on like a lip colour, and it fit.

  4. The first box

Two hundred orders, two hundred satin bows, tied by hand on the living-room floor. Our fingers still remember.

    see what’s inside now
  5. Still kind

Sixteen vegan formulas, four collections, one lookbook — and still zero animals harmed. The diary keeps going.

a letter from our founder

Dear angel,

I grew up loving pink things and loud eyeliner, and hating that so much of the makeup I loved had hurt someone small to exist. So I started making my own.

Angeology is for the girls who wear lace and bullet belts on the same day. Soft hearts, sharp edges — and a promise that nothing in your makeup bag ever cost an animal anything.

Thank you for choosing kind. It’s the prettiest thing you’ll wear.

with love & glitter,

— the founder

Behind the scenes

A small pink studio with arched mirrors, velvet walls, too many bows and a “no animals were harmed” sign on every shelf. This is where every shade is mixed, swatched and argued about.

“If it wouldn’t look cute on a doll, it doesn’t leave the studio.”— house rule n° 1
